An old legend says

Drunk water

A competition was organized between two groups-demons(asuras) and angels(devatas). The elbow of every member was stiffened with a stick and amrit(holy water) was put in the hands of everyone and asked to drink it.

Demons tried the whole day; but how could they drink it without bending their elbow in order to bring their palms near their mouth. So everyone raised the hand and spilled the amrit.

Angels just took one minute. They offered the water to their fellow mates and everybody became immortal.

So, my resolution is to give. So let’s live long:-)

Organisation in unplanned cities.

Heavy traffic

I have seen a small city. Yes the quality of life is more natural. Things of your convenience-ration, clothes and other household utilities are within walkable reach-say just 200 m. More special services and quite a lot of employer locations are just within 500m. So why need a vehicle just spending ten times in commuting for a trivial thing. Manual transport reduces pollution and old courtyard houses save a lot of energy keeping bills as low as $100/year. I have noticed that per capita living cost is just $500/yr in such cities. So what have we really achieved by metros is what I really wonder.

Let’s redo our Earth.

Aerial pic of Appalachian mountain ridges and valleys taken near Bristol, Tennessee

Let’s plan our habitations high rise in non-cultivable terrain linking ridges by highways (some kind of survey is required) and try to put 60% of that land under trees and why not go in for self-sustainability and don’t dump our wastes.

Let’s ask our sweepers not to burn garbage.

Simply start planting more trees everywhere & weave a golden future for our coming generations. Otherwise wonder their survival in this holocaust?
